Easy Does It is a great place to begin. This is a gentle yoga introduction for older students. These classes are perfect for people who are new to yoga or who have some yoga experience, but haven’t practiced for a while.
You’ll move at a relaxed pace as you safely build strength, flexibility and balance at any age. You’ll learn – or review – the fundamentals of linking breath to movement. Easy Does It classes are all 30 minutes or less.
You may find that as you’ve aged, some movements you once made with ease are now harder. If you’ve limited things like gardening, bending over, reaching for things on high shelves, getting on the floor to play with children or pets and getting back up again, yoga could help you resume these activities and be more comfortable in your body.
A regular yoga practice can help you gain strength, stability and a robustness that will improve your quality of life.
