In Senior Challenge classes you’ll stretch and strengthen yourself as you go deeper into your yoga practice. These classes are a more-demanding, full-body workout.
You’ll engage almost all the muscles between your toes and your nose, especially those all-important core muscles. You’ll learn lots of new poses that require strength and stamina. As always, you’ll connect your breath to movement.
You begin a typical Senior Challenge class lying on your back with poses that loosen up the hips shoulders and lower back. You’ll gradually work your way up to a vigorous series of standing poses then wind down as you return to a gentle round of stretching done on your back.
Senior Challenge classes are between 40 minutes and 60 minutes.
